At this years’ fast forward competition BTRY secures the second spot amongst all participating startups
BTRY is thrilled to announce that we have won second place at the fast forward competition during Electronica 2024 in Munich, earning a price of €25,000. The win also underscores the rapidly growing interest in next-generation batteries for IoT, MedTech, and consumer electronics, all key markets for our thin-film solid-state solutions.
Electronica is widely regarded as the leading trade fair for the electronics industry, drawing in innovators, researchers, and corporate leaders from across the globe. The fast forward competition forms a key part of the event, giving startups a platform to present new technologies in front of a panel of industry experts and potential collaborators. This year’s showcase included a diverse range of ideas, making it especially humbling for BTRY to earn a spot among the top finalists.
For BTRY, Electronica offered more than just the opportunity to pitch; we received a sponsored booth at the centre of the venue to showcase our technology and it provided a chance to connect with various stakeholders who share a vision for pushing the boundaries of innovation. We were encouraged by the interest shown in our thin-film solid-state battery, which boasts rapid charging, high energy density, and an extended temperature range. Visitors to our booth—from large multinational companies to emerging tech developers—expressed particular curiosity about how our technology could be integrated into next-generation products, from sensor networks to surgical equipment and wearables.
