We are thrilled to announce that BTRY AG has been ranked #7 in the Top100 Swiss Startups Award 2025 by Venturelab. This recognition reflects not only the strength of our work so far, but the growing momentum behind our mission to bring next-generation solid-state batteries to market. A huge thank you to our team — none of this would be possible without your dedication, ingenuity, and resilience.

The Top100 Award, now in its 15th year, is one of Switzerland’s most important showcases for innovation. It brings together 100 of the country’s most promising startups, all selected by a jury of 100 experienced investors and ecosystem experts. The event offers visibility, investor matchmaking, media exposure, and a platform for collaboration.

At this year’s event, leaders like Corintis (1st), DePoly (2nd), and DeepJudge (3rd) took the top spots — each reflecting the evolving Swiss focus on clean tech, engineering, AI, and sustainability. Ranking #7 puts BTRY among standout companies at the intersection of high-tech materials, energy storage, and cleantech. We’re proud to be in this cohort.

Since incorporation in April 2023, BTRY (an ETH + Empa spin-off) has built an ultra-thin, solid-state battery platform that can charge in one minute, is flexible and temperature resilient (from −40 °C to +150 °C), and is manufactured via scalable semiconductor vacuum processes. Our #7 ranking acknowledges not just our technology but the promise we represent for IoT, MedTech, and consumer electronics. It challenges us to accelerate the transition from engineering samples and pilots to industrial-scale battery sales.

We also want to thank Venturelab and all its partners — UBS, SIX, Gebert Rüf Stiftung, Walder Wyss, Handelszeitung, IFJ, Kanton Zurich, Etat de Vaud, startup.ch, Startupticker.ch, Venture Kick — for organizing this landmark event, creating opportunity, and giving Swiss deep tech startups a stage.

This ranking fuels our ambition: to scale up, to serve real customer needs, to bring solid-state batteries from the lab into devices all around us. Here’s to the next chapters — stronger production, more partnerships, and more impact.
