In 2025, the jury of the Top 100 Swiss Startup ranked BTRY as #7 ranking it in the top 10 startups in Switzerland.

BTRY was founded as a spin-off from Empa. Today, we have our offices and labs at the Empa campus in Dübendorf.

Since July 2025, BTRY is an official spin-off from ETH Zurich.

The High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) was the lead investor in BTRY's pre-seed round in 2024.

The Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) invested in BTRY during the pre-seed round in 2024.

Since April 2024, BTRY has been part of the ESA Business Incubation Centre.

BTRY won all three stages of Venture Kick, securing CHF 150,000 in funding.

Kickfund invested CHF 100,000 in BTRY in 2024.

BTRY received CHF 150,000 in funding through the InnoBooster program by the Gebert Rüf Foundation.

BTRY CEO Moritz Futscher was supported by the BRIDGE Proof of Concept Fellowship.

BTRY won 1 year of free office space at Büro Züri Innovationspark, sponsored by ZKB.
